Our Story

We’ve been delivering work-based learning since our start over 40 years ago in Sheffield.

2022
Laying the Foundations

ESTAR’s journey began in 2022, supporting the delivery of apprenticeships through an existing training provider. These early partnerships helped lay the foundation for our employer-led, high- impact model focused on learner outcomes and workplace readiness.

2023
ESTAR Group is Born

In 2023, ESTAR Group was officially incorporated. The year was focused on business setup, building systems, piloting short courses, and developing our first curriculum plans across Engineering, Business and Education.

2024
Growing Our Vision

We focused on growth and delivery: launching non-funded training courses with charities and employers, piloting internal systems, building our quality framework, and preparing for regulated delivery.

2025
APAR Approval & Programme Launch

In July 2025, ESTAR was officially approved on the APAR register, marking a major milestone. We launched our first regulated apprenticeship programmes, began hiring staff, and secured our first major contracts for Engineering and Low Carbon delivery.

2026
Custom Skills Centre Launch

In 2026, we launched our custom-built Head Office and Skills Centre — home to our Engineering, Motor Vehicle and Low Carbon Engineering training spaces. With new classrooms, workshops and employer spaces, we now deliver a fully ndependent, Ofsted-ready offer.
